About The Position

Our client is a rapidly growing venture-backed healthcare technology company building AI-powered systems that help medical practices recover lost revenue from insurance claims and payment processing. Healthcare providers in the U.S. lose billions of dollars annually due to administrative complexity and fragmented financial systems. This company is solving that problem by building intelligent data infrastructure that connects healthcare systems, automates claims workflows, and provides clear financial insights to providers. The company recently raised a $22M Series A from top-tier investors and has experienced significant growth over the past two years. With a small but highly experienced engineering team today, they are expanding rapidly and expect to grow the team significantly over the next year. This is an opportunity to join early in the company’s journey and build critical infrastructure that directly impacts healthcare providers and patients.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer (senior or staff-level candidates encouraged to apply).
Strong backend development experience using Python .
Experience building distributed systems, data pipelines, or large-scale backend infrastructure .
Background working at venture-backed startups or fast-moving technology companies .
Experience designing and maintaining data ingestion pipelines or ETL workflows .
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and autonomy.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across complex technical systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster .
Familiarity with healthcare data systems, interoperability standards, or revenue cycle management platforms .
Experience integrating systems across multiple APIs or legacy platforms.
Experience working in product-driven engineering teams that collaborate closely with customers.
Background from high-performing technology companies or high-growth startups.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable backend systems and distributed data pipelines that power AI-driven healthcare workflows.
Architect and implement data ingestion and integration infrastructure to connect with diverse healthcare systems and external data sources.
Build reliable systems that process large volumes of financial and healthcare data.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to improve customer onboarding speed and data reliability .
Solve complex data interoperability challenges across healthcare platforms.
Contribute to technical architecture decisions and help shape the company’s engineering roadmap and platform strategy .
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design documentation to maintain high engineering standards.
Work directly with internal teams and occasionally with customers to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
