About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at CVS Health, you will be responsible for developing applications and cloud-native apps using Java/J2EE and various frameworks. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective application delivery and support for production issues. The position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications/web services and cloud-native apps using Java/J2EE, REST API, and Spring frameworks.
• Build and deploy services using Gradle and Maven as part of the CI/CD process in GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application development and technical requirements.
• Coordinate end-to-end application delivery and production deployment.
• Monitor application health and KPIs, and support triage of production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing, integrating, and deploying Java/J2EE/Spring/Springboot applications.
• 4+ years of experience in software development on enterprise-class applications.
• 3+ years of experience with OOP and design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and Strategy.
• 1+ years of exposure to Kubernetes and developing cloud-native apps.
• 3+ years of experience working with stakeholders including Product Management and UX teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Functional knowledge and experience of Pharmacy.
• Experience with Python or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of collections, multithreading, networking, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of regulatory compliances including PCI, PII, and PHI.
• Experience promoting Agile processes and principles.
