About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Backend / Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale modern backend and platform services. This role will focus on Node.js and TypeScript, with an emphasis on microservices, serverless architectures, and internal platform capabilities that enable developer productivity. The ideal candidate has strong backend fundamentals, experience operating systems at scale, and a passion for reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as Fastify or Express
• Proven experience designing and maintaining microservices-based systems
• Strong experience implementing CI/CD pipelines , particularly with GitHub Actions
• Solid experience with serverless architectures and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• In-depth understanding of REST API design principles
• Strong knowledge of backend security best practices
• Experience building and scaling platform-level systems

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of AI platform concepts such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Background in internal platform development or environments focused on developer productivity

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build and operate microservices architectures , including API gateways, service orchestration, and rate limiting
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability and security
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Workflows
• Design and deploy serverless solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
• Apply backend security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection
• Implement observability and monitoring using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, performance, and developer experience
