Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend engineering, ideally within fast-paced or early-stage startup environments
• Proven track record of shipping products or features from scratch to production
• Strong experience building and scaling backend systems and APIs
• Hands-on experience with modern backend technologies (Python, distributed systems, databases)
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Comfortable working in high-intensity, fast-moving environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or working with machine learning systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Temporal
• Background in developer tools, API-first platforms, or data infrastructure products
• Experience working directly with users or customers to inform product decisions
• Strong product intuition and ability to balance speed with scalability

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems with a primary focus on core APIs powering AI-driven applications
• Own backend services end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and scaling
• Lead development of production-ready features from prototype to launch in a fast iteration cycle
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define and execute the product roadmap
• Design and maintain scalable backend infrastructure using Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, and Temporal
• Translate customer feedback into product features and actively contribute to user discovery
• Ship high-impact features quickly while maintaining reliability and performance at scale
