Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Node.js, with a willingness to work across both technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience building and optimizing APIs, microservices, and real-time data processing systems.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases such as DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering tools including Git, CI/CD pipelines, IDEs, and scripting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate in a globally distributed team.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team-based development.
• Interest in mentoring teammates and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with analytical data platforms like ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining large open-source projects.
• Understanding of internet security and privacy mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and infrastructure supporting real-time data processing and web APIs.
• Develop high-performance systems using modern backend technologies while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with other platform components and ensure seamless system interactions.
• Investigate complex system behaviors, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions that enhance performance and stability.
• Conduct performance optimization, testing, debugging, and monitoring to maintain high availability and system efficiency.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and promote a data-driven development culture across teams.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support platform reliability and respond to operational incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
