About The Position
We’re looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, enterprise-grade Azure platforms for mid-market and enterprise clients. You’ll play a key role in delivering Azure Landing Zones and shared platform services using Terraform Infrastructure as Code, helping clients adopt Azure in a way that is secure, scalable, and ready for long-term operation. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines deep Azure expertise with strong consultancy skills.
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure in mid‑market or enterprise environments
- Proven delivery of Azure Landing Zones or enterprise‑scale Azure foundations
- Deep experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI/CD integration
- Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance in Azure
- Experience supporting production Azure environments and troubleshooting complex issues
- Confident communicator with experience working in client‑facing delivery roles
- Typically 5+ years’ experience in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab
- Exposure to hybrid or multi‑cloud environments
- Familiarity with Azure security tooling, SIEM integration, or Cloud Centre of Excellence models
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Azure Landing Zones aligned to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and enterprise best practices
- Build and maintain Azure platforms using Terraform, including reusable modules and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement core Azure platform services: networking, identity (Entra ID), governance, security, monitoring, and logging
- Embed security‑by‑design using Azure Policy, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and identity controls
- Act as a technical authority on Azure platform decisions during client engagements
- Support platforms through handover and early‑life support, ensuring operational readiness
- Collaborate closely with architecture, project management, and service delivery teams
- Mentor and coach other engineers, contributing to internal standards and best practices
