About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS Python Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
  • Strong development experience in Python and/or Java.
  • Experience building APIs on AWS cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD using Terraform and GitLab.
  • Experience in building web applications on AWS cloud.
  • Strong SQL skills in databases including DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle.
  • Experience deploying serverless applications and familiarity with AWS Services.
  • Experience in building automation testing frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in front-end development with Angular/ADK, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy applications on AWS Cloud.
  • Build scalable code in Python and/or Java.
  • Build APIs on AWS cloud.
  • Implement version control best practices for code deployment in AWS.
  • Utilize CI/CD with Terraform pipelines and GitLab.
  • Build web applications on AWS cloud.
  • Script and automate using Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
  • Participate in code reviews with peers and managers.
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
  • Utilize DevOps tool stack for building, inspecting, deploying, testing, and promoting features.
  • Respond to trouble/support calls for applications in production.
  • Create or update documentation in support of development efforts.
  • Work with product owners and development team members to determine new features and user stories.
  • Familiarize with other cloud services like Azure or GCP.
  • Utilize CI/CD with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
