CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS Python Developer with AI to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. The Senior AWS Python Developer with AI will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Python applications and generative AI solutions. This role involves building scalable AI models, integrating them into cloud-native environments, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact business outcomes. The engineer will also support production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to automation and cloud optimization initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, staying ahead of emerging AI technologies, and driving innovative solutions from concept to production.

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Python applications and generative AI solutions.
  • Build scalable AI models, integrating them into cloud-native environments.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact business outcomes.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to automation and cloud optimization initiatives.
  • 7+ years in software development.
  • 4+ years working specifically with AWS and AI/ML technologies.
  • Strong command of Python, with experience using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
  • Proven ability to design, train, and fine-tune generative AI models using platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, SageMaker, EMR, and Redshift.
  • Comfort working with APIs, integrating third-party tools, and building production-ready pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices to support DevOps workflows.
  • Skilled in debugging, optimizing performance, and addressing issues in live production environments.
  • Strong communicator who can work closely with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, Agile setting with shifting priorities.
