About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and maintaining data pipelines using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, EMR).
  • Strong Python scripting skills for automation and data transformation.
  • Advanced SQL skills for ETL and analytics workflows.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments for scripting and system operations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and design.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for data systems.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like GitHub, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
  • Background in developing and executing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.
  • Knowledge of cloud security controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying security gaps and assessing risk.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty) are highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications in AWS and/or cybersecurity are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in data engineering or DevOps roles.
  • 10+ years overall experience in IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and DLP-related functions.
