About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Engineering Group in Albuquerque, NM, and bring that mission to life. You won't just work on projects, you'll shape them. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll lead the development and delivery of innovative airfield solutions. From runways to taxiways, planning to pavement, you'll be collaborating with junior engineers and project managers to meet federal, state, and client-specific guidelines while keeping budget and schedule top of mind.

Requirements

  • 11-20 years of civil engineering experience, preferably with aviation or government clients (municipal, state, federal)
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • PE license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong desire to mentor others
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Strong written and verbal communication-you're clear, confident, and client-focused
  • Willingness to travel across New Mexico for client meetings and project support
  • You take ownership of your work and lead by example
  • You're entrepreneurial in spirit-ready to learn, adapt, and find smarter ways to deliver value
  • You welcome feedback and are always looking to grow-technically and professionally

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with runway/taxiway design, drainage, airport planning, or airfield lighting is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with FAARFIELD and other aviation engineering tools are welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership -- Lead key aviation engineering projects across New Mexico, from concept through completion.
  • Design & Documentation -- Guide the preparation of construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, develop technical specifications, and coordinate task orders and contract documentation.
  • Collaboration -- Work closely with junior engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure alignment with design standards, regulations, and client expectations.
  • Mentorship -- Support and mentor emerging professionals on the team, helping to grow the next generation of aviation engineers.
