About The Position

This is an ONSITE position located in Bethesda, Maryland. National Capitol Contracting is seeking a QSC / AMX certified Audiovisual Systems Programmer to support the NIH, the nation's premier medical research and training institution that supports global conversation that forwards human welfare. In this position you will work closely with government and contract teams to develop user-facing control solutions, troubleshoot and modernize legacy systems, and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure a state of readiness across the NIH regional enterprise. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Certification or extensive experience with AMX code development and / or QSC Q-sys Certifications.
  • Familiarity with Dante audio configuration.
  • Experience managing the AV infrastructure for a state-of-the-art public-facing events, conventions, or entertainment facilities or museums.
  • Experience troubleshooting audiovisual equipment (Direct view LED walls, control devices, switchers, scalers, wireless mics, lighting controllers, touch recognition systems).
  • Experience troubleshooting control systems.
  • Proven track record in managing on-site technicians with exceptional troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills working in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

  • AMX and Q-sys certifications.
  • Dante Level 1 and 2 certifications.
  • AVIXA CTS series certifications.
  • Experience troubleshooting & managing IP networks. Especially configuration of routers for audio and video.
  • Ability to read technical documentation, drawings/blueprints.
  • Experience with multiple computer operating systems.
  • IT Support (Network and Systems Engineering).
  • Experience with streaming media.
  • Experience supporting Windows, asset management, and remote control of AV devices.
  • Experience working with government contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Write code and develop user interface and DSP configuration files to implement the government's vision for system functions including automations, user interfaces, audio and video routing, acoustic configuration, and ease of use.
  • Generate and maintain system wide technical documentation in partnership with dedicated engineers and senior technical leads.
  • Contribute to weekly technical discussions with the government regarding modernizations, retrofits, new projects, and maintenance efforts.
