About The Position

Foundry Back-End Automation team (BEA) is hiring a highly skilled Senior Automation Systems Integration Engineer to lead the requirement definition, design, development, and deployment of automation software supporting TD and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role focuses on integrating factory systems—including equipment control, production activity control, MES, yield management, and SPC systems—to optimize throughput, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep experience in semiconductor automation architectures, strong software engineering capabilities, and hands-on knowledge of yield analysis workflows and statistical process control (SPC) automation. Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and deploy automation solutions with partner organizations across wafer prep, die prep, and assembly test manufacturing. The position will require candidates to be able to interface with semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and automated manufacturing execution systems and partner organizations. Partner with manufacturing, equipment engineering, IT, process engineering, and quality teams to understand business needs and translate them into automation solutions. Design and implement real-time communication interfaces using SEMI standards (SECS/GEM, GEM300). Maintain and improve software architecture, ensuring scalability, robustness, and maintainability. Lead root-cause analysis and system-level debugging for complex integration issues. Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and drive best practice adoption across the automation team. Explore emerging business disruptions and trends in the industry with the objective of identifying opportunities to influence and intercept internal product roadmaps with specific product and/or feature responses.
