Senior Automation Engineer – Edge & Data Connectivity (Onsite)
About The Position
Responsibilities: Support equipment shakedown, startup, and troubleshooting Assist with C&Q activities Provide support for systems using Proficy, CopaData, and Codeys platforms. Assist with qualification of edge devices, firewalls, and industrial PCs. Troubleshoot data flow and connectivity issues across multiple vendor systems. Participate in testing and documentation for MQTT-based data integration. Experience with Proficy, CopaData, and Codeys automation platforms. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. Understanding of MQTT and distributed control architectures. Nice to Have: Siemens and Rockwell PLC/HMI experience. Please note this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until Feb 7, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
