The CAD Technicians primary duty is to update and maintain marine mechanical, structural, and electrical design drawings to meet client/customer requirements.
Meeting with Engineers and Designers to review blueprints and design drawings
Inputting design specifications into the CAD software
Convert engineering sketches into scaled engineering drawings.
Convert PDF, Excel, and other formats into AUTOCAD dwg files.
Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications
Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects
Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product
Completing job reports
Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects
A keen eye for detail
Excellent time management skills
Strong communication skills
High School Diploma or GED
CAD Certification
Five (5) years' experience in Marine AutoCAD drawing production
