About The Position

Senior Audit Associate - Denver, CO Who: We are seeking an experienced audit professional with at least 3 years in public accounting who communicates effectively and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What: You will lead audit engagements, develop audit programs, perform technical research, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality services to international inbound clients. When: This is a full-time position available for immediate hire. Where: Based in our confidential client’s Denver, Colorado office. Salary: Base salary range is $75,000–$90,000/year, depending on experience, skills, and location. Position Overview: The Senior Audit Associate will lead audit engagements for U.S.-inbound international businesses, prepare workpapers and documentation, guide junior staff, and support business development efforts while ensuring timely, high-quality client service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.
  • Strong English communication, writing, and research skills.
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or similar certification (preferred, not required).
  • Experience in manufacturing and distribution industries.
  • German language skills a plus.
  • Experience with ProSystem fx Engagement or CCH Axcess.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise audit engagements with a focus on manufacturing and distribution.
  • Develop and execute audit programs, including risk assessment, control evaluation, and test design.
  • Conduct technical accounting research on various topics.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality workpapers and communications.
  • Maintain proactive communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor staff through training, coaching, and providing developmental feedback.
  • Delegate effectively, removing obstacles and setting clear goals.
  • Work with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development opportunities.
  • Support staff learning through knowledge-sharing and skill-building.
