Role Overview As a Senior Acoustic Engineer, you will own the audio pipeline endâtoâend, from prototyping through product tuning. You'll design and tune microphone and speaker systems, build and test audio hardware, collaborate with software teams on realâtime streaming and noise reduction, and run field tests to continuously improve audio performance in realâworld conditions. Your work will help 1X deliver clear, reliable audio in its humanoid robots operating in diverse environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and tune microphone and speaker systems for clear, reliable audio in realâworld conditions
- Build and test audio hardware using tools such as oscilloscopes, anechoic chambers, and audio analysis software
- Collaborate with software teams on realâtime streaming, noise reduction, and machine learningâpowered audio features
- Run field tests, collect data, and refine audio performance based on findings
- Own the full audio pipeline, from early prototype design through final product tuning
