We are building a new AAA first-person shooter IP for a global audience. We are seeking a Senior Audio Designer who can own audio end-to-end, from sound creation through in-engine implementation and technical pipeline definition. This role is ideal for a highly self-sufficient senior audio designer who can operate as the foundational audio owner during early production, while helping shape long-term audio direction as the team scales. Own the audio vision and execution for core gameplay systems, weapons, environments, UI, and cinematics. Design, record, source, edit, and mix high-impact FPS sound effects aligned with modern combat gameplay. Ensure clarity, impact, and mix discipline in dense, high-intensity FPS combat scenarios. Implement and tune audio directly in Unreal Engine (Blueprints, MetaSounds, attenuation, spatialization, RTPCs, profiling and debugging tools). Evaluate, recommend, and guide integration of audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD, or Unreal-native solutions) in partnership with engineering. Architect scalable and performant audio systems that support multiplayer gameplay. Define audio pipelines, naming standards, asset management workflows, and implementation best practices. Establish and manage memory, CPU, and voice budgets; profile and optimize runtime performance. Participate in playtests and rapidly iterate based on gameplay and user feedback. Help define long-term audio direction as the project and team grow.
