About The Position

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH This role sits within Nike’s Global Running planning organization — a team known for analytical rigor, athlete‑focused insights, and strong partnership with Merchandising, Marketplace Planning, and Geo Planning. The team reports into enterprise planning leadership and collaborates across the value chain to drive sustainable growth and serve athletes. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Nike is seeking a Senior Assortment Planner with sharp analytical instincts, financial discipline, and a deep understanding of the Running consumer. This planner blends precise bottom‑up planning with bold, data‑driven intuition — crafting assortments that fuel profitable growth and elevate marketplace responsiveness. They influence across functions, translate complex data into clear narratives, and anticipate risks and opportunities before they surface. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, identifies patterns others miss, and safeguards the business through meticulous forecasting, strong communication, and proactive decision‑making. They move with speed, think critically, and plan with the athlete at the center.

  • Experience in assortment planning, product planning, and inventory/financial planning
  • Familiarity with statistical forecasting, data science approaches, and new planning methodologies
  • Understanding of consumer and marketplace trends within Running
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and Logistics or related field.
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

Responsibilities

  • You’ll own bottom‑up style‑level plans that shape Nike’s Running business — driving long range forecasts, pre‑season strategy, and in‑season activities to optimize marketplace health and fuel sustainable growth.
  • Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin, and inventory using analytical tools and consumer‑driven insights
  • Partner across Geography, Global teams, Merchandising, and MFP to drive alignment and optimize the business end to end
  • Lead product forecasting, identifying risks, opportunities, and responsive actions to elevate in‑season performance
  • Recap business performance monthly, delivering clear analysis against forecast and informing strategic shifts
  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory and supply planning activities in partnership with cross‑functional teams
