Position Overview: StepStone Group LP (StepStone) seeks a Sr. Associate, Treasury & Fund Operations (TFO) for its La Jolla, CA location. Essential Job Functions: Coordinate critical treasury and investment operations functions across multiple evergreen private debt funds. Shape operational strategy, optimize liquidity and ensure seamless execution for sophisticated private credit products. Facilitate onboarding of new funds and credit lines within the private credit and private wealth industry. Coordinate bank account openings with custodians and manage credit line arrangements. Monitor cash balances across multiple investment vehicles to ensure liquidity. Execute capital calls, distributions and drawdowns while incorporating GP funding projections into cash planning. Record and reconcile investment transactions, including loan disbursements, interest accruals and repayments. Calculate liquidity ratios and metrics as part of cash planning and credit facility management. Assess borrowing capacity and perform stress testing on cash flows. Arrange closings for private debt investments, including corporate loans, CLOs, primary fund commitments and secondary transactions. Mentor a team of analysts by managing task allocation, tracking performance and fostering skills development. Organize borrowing arrangements, track covenant compliance and schedule repayments. Prompt credit line draws and repayments while liaising with credit line teams and lenders to ensure timely execution. Liaise with external loan managers, administrators and custodians to maintain operational efficiency. Monitor data quality and ensure accurate and timely bookings. Prepare ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assist in operating and enhancing private debt platforms and coordinate new processes for multiple funds and administrators. Utilize advanced Excel functions, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and VBA, to support analysis. Create Power BI dashboards for liquidity and performance reporting. Settle loan transactions via ClearPar and leverage systems including Webfolio, WSO and MS Teams. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or as an Associate: Trade Execution & Treasury, Fund Accountant: Trade Execution & Treasury or a closely related role in the private credit and private wealth sector. Full term of required experience must include: Utilizing Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, VBA) to streamline data analysis and reporting for fund investment operations and treasury; Utilizing Power BI dashboard creation for liquidity and performance reporting for private credit business lines to enhance decision-making and transparency in treasury management; Utilizing ClearPar to settle loan transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of private credit investments; Utilizing Webfolio, WSO and MS Teams to improve workflow coordination and operational efficiency in fund investment and treasury activities; Recording and reconciling investment transactions, including loan disbursements, interest accruals and repayments; Monitoring cash flows across multiple investment vehicles to maintain liquidity; Calculating liquidity ratios/metrics as part of cash planning and credit facility management; Assessing borrowing capacity and stress testing cash flows; Performing closings for a variety of private debt investments, including Corporate Loans, CLOs, primary fund commitments, secondary transactions, etc.; Mentoring a team of analysts, managing task allocation, performance tracking and skills development while fostering continuous improvement; Incorporating GP funding projections into cash planning; Onboarding of new funds and credit lines / credit line management in the private credit and private wealth industry; Opening bank accounts with custodians; Monitoring cash balances across multiple investment vehicles; Executing capital calls, distributions and manage drawdowns; Organizing borrowing arrangements, tracking covenant compliance and scheduling repayments; Prompting credit line draws/repayments and liaising with the dedicated credit line team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of requests to various credit line providers; Delivering reports with lenders and internal teams for drawdowns and interest payments; Coordinating with external loan managers, administrators and custodians; Working on re-registration of loans; Monitoring data quality and ensure bookings are recorded in a timely manner; Building ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders; Organizing the operation and enhancement of private debt platforms; Building new processes for multiple funds and administrators.
