KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.

Requirements

Minimum three years of recent import/export experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or a CPA, JD, LLM, Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
Excellent working knowledge of Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methods
Strong technical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth reviews of import/export data using data and analytics (using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access)
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Nice To Haves

Previous experience using FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems and/or FTZ processing is preferred

Responsibilities

Support managed service engagements, in a variety of industries, on Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation and operations
Provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed within the Trade & customs delivery center
Be a valued member of the FTZ service delivery team, and support the development and training of delivery center staff
Support FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing, and using GTM solutions
Provide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environment
Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and satisfaction
