  • Check inventory and replenish consumables
  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with company and OSHA policies/procedures
  • Assist in updating current SOPs and work guides
  • Ability to plan and manage projects under supervision
  • Perform assigned lab tasks which may include but not limited to: DNA and RNA extraction from a variety of sample types using standard and custom protocols, aid and train team members
  • Quality and quantity check for all sample types, comprehend and review QC data in depth and provide feedback accordingly
  • Perform standard, custom and specialized library preparation, assist with troubleshooting efforts
  • Proper operation and routine maintenance across Illumina and PacBio platforms
  • Handle communications between internal teams for project related issues and questions
  • Proper documentation and record keeping
  • BS in Biological Sciences or related discipline with 5+ years of related lab experience required
  • MS in Biological Sciences or related discipline with 3+ years of related lab experience preferred
  • Experience in a Next Generation Sequencing lab required, cell handling experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
  • Highly motivated and well organized
  • Independent, detailed oriented, team player
  • Closely follow Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to react to situations with a sense of urgency
  • Base Compensation: $61,000.00 - $76,000.00
