Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline with typically 4+ years of relevant academic and/or industry experience; level may be adjusted based on overall background and skillset.
  • Must have hands-on experience conducting rodent in vivo studies, including IVIS imaging, caliper measurement of subcutaneous tumors, anesthesia, blood collection, euthanasia, necropsy and tissue collection, and administration via multiple dosing routes (IV, IP, SC, and intratumoral).
  • Demonstrated ability to execute studies with a high degree of independence while knowing when to escalate questions or risks.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting experimental data, drawing clear conclusions, and communicating results effectively to scientific stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent track record of clear, thorough documentation and adherence to written procedures.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing project needs, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic research setting.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience contributing to troubleshooting, workflow improvement, and experimental optimization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute in vivo pharmacology studies using Kelonia’s proprietary LVV gene delivery technology in close collaboration with research scientists and cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and optimization of translational and platform mouse studies, including pilot, proof-of-concept, and mechanism-focused experiments.
  • Perform animal handling and in vivo procedures, including compound administration, blood collection, IVIS imaging, necropsy, and tissue harvest.
  • Process tissues and samples ex vivo to support downstream analysis and help establish efficient workflows for sample collection and handoff.
  • Analyze, interpret, and clearly document study data using Excel, GraphPad Prism, and electronic lab notebooks; ensure high-quality, organized, and inspection-ready records.
  • Compile, summarize, and present data to cross-functional teams, highlighting key findings, experimental observations, and next-step recommendations.
  • Identify experimental issues, troubleshoot study execution challenges, and propose practical solutions to improve quality, reproducibility, and throughput.
  • Support onboarding and informal training of junior team members on core in vivo techniques, workflow execution, and documentation best practices.
