We are backed by Blackstone and other leading investors Position Summary: We’re hiring a Business Development & Account Executive to drive new revenue across our environmental and energy market data business. This is a front-line, revenue-generating role combining outbound business development with direct ownership of deals and accounts. The role is suited to someone early in their sales career who already has hands-on experience selling or supporting institutional data products and is ready to take the next step into a quota-carrying AE role, while still maintaining a strong outbound, hunter mindset. You’ll be responsible for building pipeline, engaging clients, running sales cycles, and closing subscription-based data contracts across global environmental markets.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in data sales, market data distribution, or a commercial role within financial, commodity, or environmental markets
  • Proven experience with subscription-based or recurring revenue models
  • Comfortable selling to institutional and commercial clients
  • Strong outbound prospecting capability with the ability to run full sales cycles
  • Solid understanding of market data products (pricing, indices, analytics, reference data)
  • Commercially sharp, resilient, and results-driven
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a market data provider, exchange, or brokerage
  • Comfortable articulating data distribution technology (API, SFTP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with providing voice of the customer feedback and collaborating with product managers
  • Exposure to environmental, energy, or commodity markets
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end sales cycles for environmental and energy market data products
  • Execute targeted outbound prospecting to generate new opportunities
  • Engage institutional clients including traders, brokers, asset managers, utilities, corporates, and compliance teams
  • Lead product demonstrations, commercial discussions, and pricing conversations
  • Build, manage, and close a pipeline of subscription-based data opportunities
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across data, indices, and analytics products
  • Partner with market, product, and operations teams to support client onboarding and retention
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity reporting in CRM
  • Stay current on environmental market structure, regulation, and competitive data offerings
