Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience; Or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 1 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience creating and/or maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and any Supporting Schedules on assigned projects/programs.
  • Experience creating and presenting project-level reports, presentations, and deliverables that reflect risk and status to program management and senior management.
  • Working knowledge of Planning & Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG), Latest Version, EVMS Standard (EIA 748-D), Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR).
  • Monte Carlo Risk Analysis (Schedule Risk Analysis).
  • Agile Development methodologies associated with EVMS.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Attention to detail and quality of product deliverables.
  • Familiarity with scheduling ad-on tools such as OPDEC, Structured Solutions - SSI tools management, RiskyProject or similar scheduling support software.
  • Experience with cost and schedule integration software.
  • Experience in macro development.
  • Ability to work with a team and on their own.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and maintenance of complex program schedules including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis.
  • Support the programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs.
  • Interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program IMS.
  • Perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs and projects.
  • Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Utilize Critical path, Driving Path, Variance metrics, milestone charts, Earned Value Management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.
  • Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines per DECM metrics.
  • Lead or participate in scheduling status reviews.
  • Develop integrated master schedules using SOW, and WBS.
  • Create and track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Perform Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Schedule Metric Analysis such as BEI, CEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.
  • Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Make/recommend substantial improvements to systems and processes.
  • Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Perform regular analysis of program schedules to evaluate program and enterprise-wide resource needs.
  • Ensure projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups.
  • Make significant improvements to processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area as necessary.
  • Communicate with external parties when necessary.
  • Conduct extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems.
  • Attend and lead scheduling status reviews and conduct briefings with senior leaders.
  • Work to influence others to accept individual or team's views or practices.
  • Participate in schedule training, engineering, and program excellence organization.
  • Work to achieve operational targets within job area.
