We're seeking a future team member for the role of Production Services Application Support Analyst- Mainframe to join our Asset Servicing Global Transfer Agency Production Support team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA.

  • Provides application support for moderately and highly complex applications and their operating environment.
  • Provides incident management and problem management service for production related incidents.
  • Lead troubleshooting during production outages and communicate to management throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
  • Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues.
  • Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders.
  • Production readiness reviews for new releases and validate the supportability of changes prior to introduction into production.
  • Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup.
  • Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment.
  • Experience in application deployment / release activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.
  • 8-10 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Cobol, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
  • It's also beneficial to have hands on knowledge on utilities such as DFSort, Syncsort, Rexx, Ezytrieve, FileAid, and Control-M.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or DevOps.
  • Should be able to review Job Spool and interpret system and job step messages.
  • Monitor job processing, analyze failures using available KB documents, and communicate issues clearly to the development team.
  • Understand JOB SLA's and quickly analyze job abends and suggest solutions.
  • Do performance analysis and recommend ways to improve batch processing times.
  • Experience in deployment and strong debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to appropriate section.
  • Prioritize and handle service requests, incidents, change management and problem tickets.
  • Knowledge with Monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Prometheus, Cloudprober, Thousand Eyes, Splunk.
  • Should be willing to work on weekends on need basis.
