About The Position

We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate, Production Ops to join our ALLBLK/WEtv Content team based in our New York, New York office.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in media, entertainment, production, or corporate environments supporting senior leaders and managing operations.
  • Strong project management skills with experience tracking timelines, deliverables, cross-team updates, and dependencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Teams, Concur, DocuSign, Box, Mediator, MediaPulse, and workflow optimization tools.
  • Proficiency with emerging AI tools, including Microsoft Co-Pilot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives and external partners.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in creating process documentation, workflow guides, or knowledge bases is preferred.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, think several steps ahead, and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced media environment.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Provide high-volume executive administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expense reports, and executive communications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the executive team and internal/external partners, ensuring timely communication and strategic prioritization.
  • Prepare presentations, agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up documentation for internal and external meetings.
  • Screen, prioritize, and respond to emails, requests, meeting invitations, and inquiries on behalf of leadership.
  • Draft polished internal communications, announcements, and status summaries.
  • Ensure key updates, decisions, and deadlines are captured, distributed, and archived appropriately.
  • Maintain awareness of departmental priorities, production timelines, and key initiatives to help leadership stay ahead of deadlines and evolving needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external industry relationships.
  • Business & Operations Management: Manage and track multiple ongoing departmental initiatives, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and milestones are met across Production, Programming, Creative, Business Affairs, Press, Marketing, Legal, Rights & Clearances and Finance teams.
  • Develop and manage a robust database of showrunners, line producers, and EICs to streamline staffing decisions, strengthen partner relationships, and enhance visibility into production resource pipelines.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, contractors, and freelancers, ensuring compliance with HR and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate, interview, hire and oversee interns and consultants.
  • Coordinate with post-production on cuts, notes distribution, schedule updates, and final delivery for project alignment.
  • Research emerging AI production tools and software and provide assessments and recommendations.
  • Lead business operations initiatives and manage high-priority ad hoc projects, ensuring seamless coordination and cross-functional alignment throughout the organization.
  • Support planning, logistics, and execution of departmental meetings, off-sites, corporate events, and leadership sessions.
  • Monitor project progress, capture next steps, escalate risks, and ensure stakeholders are informed and accountable.
  • Assist with budget tracking, purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and invoice approvals as needed.
  • Build, oversee, and maintain the department’s SharePoint repository, ensuring optimal organization, accessibility, version control, and compliance with security and corporate standards.
  • Establish naming conventions, folder structures, and governance rules to ensure consistency and efficiency across the department.
  • Manage the modernization of departmental assets, storage, and maintenance of decks, financial reports, workflows, schedules, and production documents.
  • Serve as a central liaison between Content, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Technology teams for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, production partners, and third-party vendors as needed.
  • Develop procedural guides, templates, and best-practice workflows to improve operational efficiency, stakeholder experience, and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements across production, business affairs, finance, programming, and executive workflows.
  • Implement and maintain tracking systems for key department processes including deliverables, production calendars, meeting notes, task lists, and cross-team communication flows.
  • Partner with leadership to streamline communication pathways, improve visibility, and drive operational clarity across the content organization.
