If you answered yes to all of these questions, then product management at Capital One may be a fit for you About the Role As a Senior Associate, Product Manager , you will be at the forefront of defining what high availability looks like for a cloud-native bank. We focus on the "well-managed" aspect of our infrastructure, ensuring that as we scale, our stability scales with us. You will own the roadmap for Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), specifically focusing on Availability and Resilience . This role requires a blend of technical curiosity and product rigor; you will partner with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Architects to ensure our platforms can withstand systemic shocks while maintaining peak performance for our customers. What You'll Do Own the Resilience Roadmap: You will lead the near-term roadmap for resilience capabilities. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NFR standards across your platform area. Define Availability Standards: Support the definition and implementation of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets. You will work with engineering partners to ensure these aren't just metrics on a dashboard, but actionable drivers of the product development lifecycle. Drive Engineering Partnership: Serve as the bridge between business intent and technical implementation. You will translate complex resilience needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring that "resilience by design" is baked into every feature we ship. Stakeholder & Risk Management: Partner across organizational boundaries with Risk, Cyber, and Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders to align on uptime requirements and mitigation strategies. You will use data-driven storytelling to communicate platform health and the business impact of resilience investments. Problem Solving & Insights: Leverage data to identify potential single points of failure and advocate for architectural improvements. You will stay ahead of the curve on industry trends in cloud reliability to ensure Capital One remains a leader in platform stability.   • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

  • 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
