About The Position
The Senior Associate in Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services) will liaise with clients' external auditors, administrators, HR/payroll, and other service providers. This role involves working with clients to deliver outsourced CFO and related services to Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds. The Senior Associate will collaborate with team members and clients to provide daily operational support, assist with the creation of financial models, budget to actuals, provide ad-hoc financial analysis, and participate in ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities also include reviewing NAVs, allocations, investor statements, and reconciliations, as well as reviewing and/or preparing expense and accrual schedules, management fee calculations, and incentive allocations. The role requires fund and management company financial statement preparation, maintaining accounting practices for assigned clients, researching accounting principles, and advising team(s) and/or clients as needed. Additionally, the Senior Associate will assist in evaluating current financial and accounting processes for new clients, propose improvements, and help coordinate implementation efforts. The position also involves assisting in the opening of clients' brokerage and bank accounts and arranging, coordinating, and participating in weekly, monthly, or as needed conference calls.
