About The Position

In People & Places, we handle all things people-related so our employees around the globe are empowered to do their best work. Our M&A People team partners with stakeholders across the whole business on all people-related matters during M&As and divestitures. The Senior Associate, M&A People will be a proven project coordinator, organizer, and executor. We are looking for a team member to help support the M&A People Program, while coordinating a multitude of domestic & international projects and collaborating closely with leaders, HRBPs, and other key cross-functional partners. You will need to be a doer who can think strategically, able to #seetheforestandthetrees, while driving complex projects to the best outcomes for the business and its stakeholders. You may not be the final decision-maker, but we will rely on you to track small details and surface key findings to shape the decision-making process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting complex projects & programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous project management experience in large-scale global projects.
  • Meticulous - your calendar can be crammed, but it's organized, manageable, and you don't miss a beat.
  • Presentation skills - you can tell a meaningful story with a few key slides and are able to present that story to senior Leaders.
  • Strategic approach - you're comfortable thinking one week, one month, or one year ahead of where the team is now.
  • Strong Analytics - Able to summarize a complex data set or process grid and distill into a simple slide or readout.
  • Curiosity - You want to learn about M&A and deal structures. You're innovative, creative, and look to optimize processes.
  • Communication skills - you have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to liaise positively with all levels and the ability to build and influence across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong project management skills - ability to assist with the planning and execution of complex projects requiring coordination of work across multiple stakeholders, negotiations, and problem resolutions.
  • M&A experience is a big plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Support, coordinate, and drive a robust M&A program (e.g., roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools).
  • Coordinate several simultaneous workstreams from end to end, including developing and carrying out post-deal close integration project plans.
  • Move quickly as a builder and a doer. You aren't an order-taker; you are a problem-solver who is highly organized and methodical.
  • Support the team by thinking both strategically and tactically, with a persistent attention to detail and a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Develop strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships and influence without authority.
  • Provide clear communication of progress, roadblocks, updates, and future plans to the team, leadership, and key partners.
  • Drive efficiencies while also finding opportunities to improve and scale the current model and minimize execution risks with regular improvements to the People M&A Playbook Suite.
