This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3-4 days minimum per week in the office. Private Client Group - Americas (“PCG”) is part of the Investor Relations Team that is responsible for the fundraising activities of the Firm. PCG focuses on delivering HarbourVest's private markets solutions to the private wealth market primarily through financial intermediaries including wire-houses, regional broker-dealers, private banks, multi-family offices and registered investment advisors. PCG is responsible for the distribution of HarbourVest products in the private wealth channel in the US, Canada and Latin America. This role will be focused on partnering with External Wholesalers to raise capital in the US - by creating and maintaining relationships with financial advisors in the Wire-House/Private Bank, RIA, and Family Office channels in the specified region to drive sales and AUM growth across private and registered funds.

Requirements

  • Series 7, Series 63 Required
  • Must meet required outbound call/contact activity levels as set by Manager
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, and CRM management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Capital Markets Knowledge
  • Proficient in managing and prioritizing tasks; adept at handling a demanding calendar of client meetings
  • Ability to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-6 Years of related industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to External Wholesalers covering a specific geographical region
  • Act as a liaison between External Wholesalers and financial advisors
  • Be point of contact with financial advisors to increase sales and deepen existing relationships
  • Lead business meeting follow-up activities with prospective and existing advisors, and ensure maintenance of meeting/call notes in CRM
  • Understand complex alternative investment capabilities across private and registered investment vehicles and effectively communicate them to prospective clients in a clear and articulate manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across strategies, private and registered investment structures, and relevant private wealth platforms
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and leaders to ensure a high degree of transparency and collaboration
  • Represent the firm with a strong presence that instills trust and confidence
  • And other responsibilities as required
