About The Position

ClimateWorks seeks a collaborative and experienced Senior Associate to support the Operations and Planning team’s mission to enhance ClimateWorks Operations and ensure that our ways of working reflect our Justice and Equity Commitments. As one of the teams responsible for helping ClimateWorks continue to evolve, we’re seeking an Operations professional to support forward momentum across our portfolio. The Senior Associate will report to the Senior Director for Operations and Planning but support operations for all of ClimateWorks, working in close partnership with colleagues from across the organization, including HR, Finance, Accounting, Justice & Equity, Information Systems and Technology, Marketing and Communications, Philanthropic Partnerships. Key focus areas will include supporting our global footprint, managing ongoing operational processes, implementing new processes, coordinating projects related to organizational risk, and supporting our annual planning cycle. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a passion for ensuring equitable and inclusive workplace culture. They will enjoy collaborating across teams and cultures to develop and implement processes and policies that support ClimateWorks’ mission.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting Operations, preferably in an organization with a global footprint.
• Experience in bringing a Justice and Equity lens to operations work and policy development.
• Comfort with developing and delivering presentations to teams and leadership.
• Ability to join occasional calls outside of standard working hours to support staff and partners across Europe and Asia.
• Experience building relationships and collaborating in a virtual environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of non-profit Operations and Finances.
• Experience using relevant systems (including Asana, Salesforce, Slack, Adaptive) or similar products.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently (both virtually and in-person) with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for key operations efforts as needed, including those related to our work on organizational health and equity, hybrid approaches to project management and collaboration, coordinating risk management functions, and supporting major cross-org initiatives.
• Design and draft policies and processes that meet ClimateWorks’ evolving operational needs and align with our Justice and Equity principles, integrating feedback from staff and leadership.
• Coordinate Operations support for ClimateWorks’ evolving global footprint, including offices and projects based outside of the United States.
• Manage the process of regularly reviewing and revising ClimateWorks policies, especially as they relate to our hybrid work approach and decision-making.
• Partner with staff and leadership in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions to address new opportunities or challenges as they arise.
• Support our hybrid work approach by testing new practices, tracking the impact of our efforts, and designing new practices for all staff.
• Develop visual aids, slides, and other materials to communicate policies, processes, and other information to staff and leadership.
• Partner with other operations teams to facilitate coordination of training, planning, and other all-staff engagements.
