About The Position

The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce through expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since then built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace. This team shapes the future of DoorDash Grocery. Join us in our global mission to empower and grow local economies! As we continue to scale our Grocery business, we’re looking to hire multiple Senior Associates on our Grocery Strategy & Operations team. As a member of the team, you’ll define key go-to-market strategies, launch growth initiatives, and dive into data to identify trends that will inform operational + product strategies, all while working with a wide array of cross-functional teams. This role is based in New York or San Francisco. We operate in a hybrid model of in-office & remote work, as well as travel to collaborate with colleagues across different offices in person!

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in a highly analytical and cross-functional environment (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related experience).
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong ownership mentality, always looking for opportunities to improve work product.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and ability to build from the ground up.
• Analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Ability to synthesize complex problems and translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
• Comfortable operating at both high-level strategy and detailed operational levels.
• Thrives in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
• Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
• Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments.
• Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes.
• Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll launch new products, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new.
• Lead, collaborate and Influence. You’ll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale the Grocery business.
