About The Position

The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce through expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since then built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace. This team shapes the future of DoorDash Convenience. Join us in our global mission to empower and grow local economies! As we continue to scale our Convenience business, we’re looking to hire a Senior Associate on our Convenience Strategy & Operations team focusing on affordability. In this role, you will be responsible for launching growth initiatives to improve order and item affordability for our customers. You will dive into data to understand consumer spend behaviors and business performance at the lowest level of detail, while working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other strategy & operations teams.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in a highly analytical and cross-functional environment (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related experience).
• Ownership mentality with a focus on improving work product and outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and ability to build from the ground up.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Ability to synthesize complex problems and translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
• Comfortable operating at both high-level strategy and detailed operational levels.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
• Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
• Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments.
• Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes.
• Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s Convenience business. You’ll launch new products, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new.
• Lead, collaborate and Influence. You’ll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale the Convenience business.
