This opportunity is for a position with the L3Harris Environmental Test Laboratory. The candidate will coordinate, prepare, manage, and execute environmental testing projects designed to take L3Harris products to the limit of their functional and structural design. The candidate will learn to operate climatic chambers designed to replicate: the freezing temperatures of the earth's poles, the scorching temperatures of deserts, the humidity of jungles, the altitudes of the skies, and the frigid vacuum of space. The candidate will also learn to operate electrodynamic shakers to reproduce harsh vibration environments and test products for their survivability under conditions such as transportation, gunfire, aircraft-carrier arrests, and rocket launch conditions. The candidate will work in a team-oriented environment in a laboratory that operates year-round. Weekend support will be required as needed, with paid overtime.
