About The Position

Ares Infrastructure Opportunities (AIO) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join as a Senior Associate on the Infrastructure Opportunities Investor Relations team in the New York office. This role involves assisting with product development, marketing strategy, and the creation of marketing and due diligence materials for private funds within the Infrastructure Opportunities business. AIO manages approximately $8.5 billion and utilizes both value-add and core strategies to invest in assets and companies across various infrastructure sectors, including renewable energy, energy storage, natural gas midstream, transportation, resource efficiency, low carbon molecules, infrastructure services, and digital infrastructure. The position is critical to strategic priorities, offering significant visibility to senior management and investors. The team leverages its track record, experienced personnel, thematic investment approach, proprietary deal flow, and synergies with the broader Ares platform to identify and execute attractive opportunities with compelling risk-reward profiles, emphasizing value creation and enhanced returns through balanced investing across the capital stack and asset life cycle.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
5+ years of work experience in an investor relations, strategy, client service, or product management role.
Must have a blend of client service, investment capabilities, and commercial sense.
Understanding of Infrastructure/Real Assets and Private Equity and awareness of alternative investment management space.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner.
Strong quantitative skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization.
Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions.
Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multitask and monitor own workload to meet deadlines at a fast pace.
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain and the SIE.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of Infrastructure investing and/or investment banking, finance and accounting background or training.

Responsibilities

Assist with product development, marketing strategy, and the creation of marketing and due diligence materials for private funds in the Infrastructure Opportunities business.
Support fundraising for private funds across platforms by developing marketing and due diligence materials such as private placement memorandums (PPM), pitch books, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) for investment vehicles.
Prepare Request For Proposals, DDQs, track record analysis, consultant questionnaires/databases and related due diligence requests.
Work across functions to obtain and synthesize information from the deal teams, reporting, and accounting teams in order to prepare communication materials.
Streamline processes by creating more efficient methods of gathering, sorting, accessing data.
Conduct ongoing market and competitor research, including keeping track of investment vehicles, strategy and performance for peers.
Create presentations and coordinate logistics for investor meetings, industry conferences and the annual investor meeting.
Draft written correspondence to investors including mass communications and customized meeting follow-up.
Work on strategic projects for new business development initiatives.
