About The Position

The Visitor Control Specialist is responsible to ensure L3Harris compliance with all U.S. Government customer Visitor Control Security requirements. The role involves implementing and maintaining security clearance processing, visit certifications responsibilities, and physical security operations. Responsibilities include processing Department of Defense (DoD), SCI visit certs for incoming visitors/personnel and outgoing visits, confirming security clearance levels appropriate for visit clearance level for site access into Restricted, DoD, and SCI level areas for meetings, tours, and maintenance requirements, utilizing security databases to include DISS, Scattered Castles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) and supplement Information system security experience
  • Familiarity with DISS, NBIS, JADE, Pre-Screening Questionnaire’s, Scattered Castles, and SIMS

Responsibilities

  • Ensures L3Harris compliance with all U.S. Government customer Visitor Control requirements.
  • Responsible for educating and training the appropriate L3Harris employees and security staff (employee or contractor) on visitor entry process.
  • Assist with developing and implementing security procedures, and awareness of the contracting guard staff.
  • Processing cleared personnel and visitor clearance certification requests.
  • Use of security databases, Security Information Management System (SIMS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and Scattered Castles (SC).
  • Visitor entry control, access control for secure areas requiring security clearance.
  • Oversee the activities of Security Operations Center (SOC), guard force, and first responders, vendors.
  • Oversee and audit Inspections, all persons (employees, non-employees and visitors) and their possessions. entering or exiting any L3Harris facility are subject to inspection.
  • Oversee and maintain portable radio equipment, briefings, and roster tracking
  • Review and audit physical security and officer procedures.
  • Work with program security, program, and facilities for all on-site Security Operations concerns.
