Job Description Senior Associate Location: Denver, CO | Kansas City, MO | Braintree, MA | Hybrid Get To Know Us: The Senior Associate will play a key role in supporting SS&C GIDS's financial operations team, contributing to the accurate and timely processing and reporting of financial data. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial principles and excellent analytical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field OR 3-5 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on operations, accounting, or fund administration.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment operations, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Execute and review daily financial transactions, including reconciliations, settlements, and trade processing.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and other deliverables for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex financial discrepancies and inquiries from internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including operations, technology, and client services, to optimize workflows and resolve issues.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing service delivery.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry regulations, best practices, and company policies.
