About The Position

This role contributes to the Finance team with a focus on corporate financial planning and analysis. The Financial Analyst supports OCC’s purpose of ensuring confidence in the financial markets and the broader economy by supporting the annual budget process, analyzing month-end close variances, and producing monthly forecasts. The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the Finance team’s internal policies and procedures, supporting internal and external audits, and testing internal controls.

Requirements

  • Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science or business degree or 2+ years in an analytical role in public accounting or corporate finance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or Business-related field. Will consider candidates with different degrees with 2+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis Software such as Oracle PBCS, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights
  • Data Visualization experience
  • Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle PBCS, Archer, PolicyTech, Workday experience
  • Experience utilizing AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and/or Gemini

Responsibilities

  • Data output validation through reporting
  • Data analysis
  • Ability to write financial variance commentary for an executive audience
  • Data presentations via PowerPoint to business partners across the organization
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration
  • Produce monthly flash, variance, P&L, cash flow, headcount, and contract volume reports leveraging Oracle PBCS and Excel SmartView
  • Analyze variances to forecast and budget for month-to-date, year-to-date, and full-year results
  • Validate the consolidation of budget and forecast data in Excel
  • Support the administration of Oracle PBCS; consolidation, archiving forecast/budget versions, hierarchy and headcount management
  • Maintain the portfolio of standardized reports and presentations in Excel and PowerPoint with a focus on continuous enhancements and automation
  • Support Finance’s compliance posture by maintaining internal policies and procedures through PolicyTech and Archer applications
  • Support response to internal and external audit requests
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and requests from business partners
  • Lead ad-hoc analysis and projects
