About The Position

The Senior Associate for Feeding Change will support the execution of research projects across the Food Is Medicine and Food as Health focus areas. This role applies strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, analytical judgment, and clear writing to support the development of reports, briefs, convenings, and other program deliverables from concept to completion. This position reports to the Associate Director of Feeding Change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (nutrition, public health, and/or health policy related preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Executing qualitative and quantitative research in support of Feeding Change projects, including literature reviews, interviews, interview and document coding, data entry and cleaning, descriptive and thematic analysis, and synthesis of findings across data sources.
  • Translating complex research findings into clear, compelling written outputs, including reports, briefs, memos, proposals, presentations, and other external- and internal-facing materials.
  • Drafting and revising content to ensure that all written deliverables are complete, well-written, and visually clear, incorporating feedback from relevant internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Developing charts, tables, and data visualizations (primarily in Excel and PowerPoint) to support analysis and communicate findings clearly.
  • Supporting day-to-day project coordination, including maintaining trackers, timelines, meeting notes, and documentation across multiple projects.
  • Providing administrative and operational assistance, including scheduling, document formatting, notetaking, copyediting, preparing briefs, creating PowerPoint decks and other visuals, and supporting other reporting needs.
  • Providing logistical support for Feeding Change events that engage key external thought leaders, including identification of potential attendees and presenters, outreach coordination, background research on related content, and preparation of briefing materials.
  • Managing Feeding Change portfolio data within the Milken Institute’s existing systems (Salesforce, SharePoint, Airtable, etc.), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
