About The Position

Olin Business School, a premier educator of business professionals worldwide, is seeking an entrepreneurial leader for the pivotal role of Senior Associate Dean and Knight Distinguished Director of Executive Education. This position is integral to the senior leadership team and reports directly to the Dean of Olin Business School. The Senior Associate Dean will spearhead the transformation of the executive education function, focusing on growing enrollment and revenue not only in the St. Louis region but also in Washington D.C. and beyond. The role is designed for an innovative leader who can diversify and enhance the portfolio of non-degree offerings to meet the evolving needs of corporate, government, and nonprofit clients. The Senior Associate Dean will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for executive education that aligns with the institution's mission and growth objectives. This includes identifying emerging trends and opportunities within the executive education landscape to ensure that Olin's offerings remain competitive and relevant. The position also involves overseeing the design, development, and management of a diverse portfolio of high-quality non-degree executive education programs, which encompass open-enrollment, custom, and online offerings. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with faculty and subject matter experts to create impactful content that meets the needs of executives and organizations, ensuring measurable return on investment (ROI). In addition to program development, the Senior Associate Dean will engage in business development and stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, alumni, and industry partners to drive program growth and revenue. This includes developing effective marketing and sales strategies to attract participants and organizations, as well as identifying new business opportunities and partnerships. The role requires acting as the primary liaison between the executive education department and both internal and external stakeholders. Operational excellence is a key focus, as the Senior Associate Dean will oversee the day-to-day operations of the executive education department, including budget management, resource allocation, staff supervision, and development. The position demands the implementation of processes for continuous improvement and quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards of program delivery and participant experience. Financial management is also critical, with responsibilities including the development and management of the executive education budget, monitoring program financial performance, and preparing financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
