About The Position

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administrative duties related to the Information Systems (IS) security program. The ISSO will coordinate with the FSO and Information Technology (IT) personnel to ensure information system compliance with government, company, and other applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship
Requires practical knowledge of job area.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for all information system security related issues
Develop, implement, and maintain system security policies, standards and procedures in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
Conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks
Monitor and respond to security incidents, including intrusion detection and malware analysis
Coordinate with system administrators and IT staff to ensure systems are maintained in a secure configuration
Assist in the design and implementation of security training and awareness programs for employees
Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the security posture of the organization
