We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate to join or Corporate Actions Department. The role is located in Pittsburgh, PA (4 days in office per week). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial services or corporate actions preferred.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
  • Strong understanding of all corporate action procedures, corporate action events, and market practices.
  • Ability to work on multiple systems to perform complex corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending client instructions to third parties, and posting online cash and security transactions.
  • No direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced team members; may have people management responsibilities in some geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mandatory and voluntary corporate action-related custody and accounting processing requirements, such as dividend payments, reorganizations/proxy, bond redemptions, and more.
  • Manage and control high levels of risk and liability inherent in various functions, including reconciliation activities, client reporting, and proration on transactions.
  • Collaborate with organizational units and teams to ensure corporate action events are addressed appropriately and determine the impact of moderately complex events, disseminating information to investors and client accounts.
  • Review cash reconciliations, security and suspense transaction reviews adhering to established quality control measures and procedures; research and respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers, sub-custodians, and custodians.
