About The Position

The Senior Associate, Contracts position administers, extends, negotiates, and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum 6 months experience reading and interpreting contracts and statements of work.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organization, negotiation skills, and management skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS office applications (strong Excel and Word skills)

  • Self-motivating and able to manage multiple contracts with little assistance from others

Responsibilities

  • Preparing contractual letters, T's & C's, Reps & Certs for proposals to the U.S. Government and other DoD Contractors.
  • Providing audit and fact-finding support for major proposals.
  • Administering and closing contracts.
  • Compiling information and reports.
  • Interpreting contract requirements and track contractual performance to the requirements.
  • Assist in proposing and negotiating contracts for the company’s products and services in prime and subcontracting environments.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements and providing the primary customer interface on related issues.
  • Assisting procurement personnel with significant contracting tasks, including establishing flow-down terms and conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
