About The Position

Capital One Financial Services - Auto is seeking a Senior Associate, Content Editor for its Auto Navigator product. In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will prepare editorial content for publication to our Auto Learning Center, home to our extensive library of expert car reviews and car-buying and car-ownership advice. A successful Content Editor will be passionate about consumer-friendly automotive content.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of writing and editing as part of an editorial staff

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications or related field
• 5+ years of writing and editing as part of an editorial staff at an automotive media outlet
• 1+ year of experience working on automotive agency accounts or automotive companies
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to contribute to multiple workstreams and projects within a cross-functional team
• Willingness and ability to engage and strategize with team members in a collaborative, communicative manner
• A professional understanding of SEO/GEO principles
• Experience editing multiple content types
• Talent for translating complex automotive mechanical and technology concepts for the average car shopper
• Enthusiasm for AI workstreams
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Experience with digital photography and Adobe Photoshop

Responsibilities

• Edit car reviews, automotive consumer advice, and other feature content
• Work with our contributing content agencies to ensure continuous qualitative feedback
• Assist with strategic planning for future content
• Assist with local video/photo shoots
