About The Position

Within the Capital Markets and Analytics, Resolution and Recovery Planning Office (RRPO) is a critical regulatory compliance function that requires banks to develop strategies, actions, and execution plans to recover from extreme financial stress and, in the event of a failure, to resolve the bank with minimal losses to depositors. The RRPO is responsible for managing and overseeing the Resolution and Recovery Plan development and related processes, including coordination with business partners across all parts of the organization and major risk-management functions. We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and analytical professional who excels in a team environment. This associate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to change quickly. They should also have experience in proactively driving work cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance
  • At least 1 year of experience in risk management, or project management, or regulatory compliance, or a combination

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • 1+ year of experience in capital markets
  • Well versed in legal and technical writing
  • Experience in data management best practices and dataset governance
  • Experience using at least one scripting or query language such as Python or SQL

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis, structuring, and updates for key narrative and data content in the Company’s Resolution and Recovery Plans
  • Lead multiple projects by leveraging business judgment and working closely with highly specialized subject matter experts across the lines of business and relevant risk functions
  • Work closely with various departments and functions to support the assessment, development, enhancement, and testing of key capabilities for Resolution Planning
  • Analyze emerging regulatory requirements and guidance to assess their impact on the Company’s Resolution Plans, supporting the enhancements of identified gaps to ensure full compliance
  • Support required resolution planning governance activities via refresh of various governance documents such as the policy, standards, procedures, and job aids
  • Contribute to executive leadership forums through agenda setting, material preparation and messaging
  • Assist in responding to regulatory exams and feedback
  • Own key Resolution Planning control and governance artifacts to ensure alignment with industry best practices
