About The Position

Company Overview: US Pediatric Partners is a leading pediatric care provider with a mission to build a national pediatric platform by embracing value-based care to create an industry-leading experience for patients, clinicians, and payors. By developing and expanding current risk-bearing models, we aim to improve pediatric health and wellness while driving down costs and fragmentation in pediatric healthcare. Position Overview: The Business Development Associate will play a key role in evaluating, diligencing, and valuing pediatric practice acquisitions to support the company’s growth strategy. This role will be responsible for conducting preliminary financial due diligence, building financial models, and assessing target practice performance to help determine acquisition feasibility. The associate will also support internal financial diligence for smaller transactions where external diligence providers are not engaged. This is a high-impact role requiring strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory services.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, particularly in valuation, precedent transactions, and M&A modeling.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements, EBITDA adjustments, and due diligence reports.
  • Understanding of healthcare M&A, particularly in physician practice acquisitions, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize diligence findings concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of healthcare M&A, particularly in physician practice acquisitions, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary financial due diligence on target pediatric practices, including review of revenue, EBITDA, and key financial metrics.
  • Develop and maintain valuation models to determine appropriate purchase price and deal structures.
  • Built and maintain strategic financial models to analyze De Novo opportunities for growth expansion.
  • Analyze historical financial performance and future growth potential of target practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of Letters of Intent (LOIs) by providing financial analysis and valuation insights.
  • Review payor reimbursement and key operational metrics to assess financial risk and upside potential.
  • Conduct internal financial diligence for tuck in acquisitions by reviewing payer contracts and conducting cash proof analyses
  • Identify potential risks and red flags in financial and operational diligence and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Support deal structuring, including purchase price allocation, earnouts, and working capital adjustments.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.
  • Maintain a pipeline of target practices and diligence progress reports to track deal status.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to track and build out pilot financials for expansion projects.
  • Prepare and maintain presentation materials for internal investment reviews, leadership updates, and board meetings.
