About The Position

The Senior Associate will be part of a cross-functional team, specifically focused on transforming raw data into insights and recommendations to drive impact for our clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter and has an innate interest in all things data: whether it’s data tidying, visualization, analysis, or statistics, using data to drive business outcomes is a passion. At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our way of working combines flexibility with in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams. Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science or related quantitative field
  • 1-2 years in a quantitative business environment (or graduate degree completion)
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in PowerPoint with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in marketing or media analytics is preferred
  • Experience in data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Datorama) is a plus
  • Experience in SQL, Python, or R is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Determine data sources and information needs and develop new data source documentation to provide data engineering direction
  • Access and compile large volumes of media, custom and syndicated data from disparate sources into concise and precise information
  • Ensure data qualityby QAingand resolving data discrepancies for reporting
  • Collaborate with diverse teamsacross multiple time zones to ensure account deliverables are being met
  • Understanding of ETL processand ability to query database
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Interpret data and analyzeresults to generate insights and produce visuals (charts, graphs) and presentations for summary trend statistics
  • Conduct deeper dives to find specific answers to client inquiries
  • Produce easy-to-understand,error-free, timely deliverables and effectively communicate findings
  • Handle small data pulls (ad hoc requests) with limited support and provide support for larger data needs.
  • Develop automationvia scripts, macros or efficiency models to streamline repetitive tasks.
