The Senior Associate, Investments will work closely with the Alternatives Team to support the management and performance measurement of Fortitude’s alternative investments portfolio. The role will involve collaborating across Investments, FP&A, and Accounting to socialize results, automate performance reporting, and deliver portfolio insights that drive capital and financial decision-making. This position requires a mix of analytical rigor, data management, and strategic communication to support the firm’s growing alternatives platform.

  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting & Capital teams to socialize Alternatives performance results, ensuring clear understanding and alignment across functions.
  • Manage quarter-by-quarter Alternatives portfolio performance, producing key reports and insights for capital planning, accounting, and executive management.
  • Partner with external firms and internal colleagues to model various earnings and capital outcome scenarios with the objective of securitizing select credit alternative investments to achieve efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain customized analytical and attribution models to evaluate specific investment strategies and/or transactions.
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials for consumption by Fortitude Board and Executive Committee members.
  • Build an automated reporting platform using various tools/platforms and other tools to visualize Alternatives performance by quarter, leveraging data pipelines and dashboards to streamline reporting.
  • Support daily management and monitoring of existing asset portfolios, identifying performance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the firm to perform capital and risk analysis (e.g., asset modeling, cash flow testing, and economic valuation).
  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners and clearly communicate investment insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or financial discipline.
  • 2 years of experience within investment banking environment, and/or financial analytics, required.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment products.
  • Knowledge of ALM, insurance products, and financial modeling experience, required.
  • Strong technical background in analysis and reporting using MS Office.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and ownership over responsibilities and ability to collaborate across various teams.
  • Excellent documentation habits, oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas into simple explanations.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and advanced Excel skills is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python for analytics and reporting automation (Pandas, Dash, or similar).
  • SQL or data visualization experience (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
