About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Accounting & Controls, this role involves performing accounting activities to support the month-end close, ensuring US GAAP compliance to maintain accurate financial reporting. The core accounting activities include account reconciliations, journal entry postings, preparation of intercompany loan statements, and utilization of the treasury system. Successful candidate should be a self-starter interested in providing leadership to ongoing financial accounting issues, leverage the treasury system, and process improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting, FP&A, or manufacturing finance.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present financial data clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of journal entries to support the month end closing process for Otis Holding Companies
  • Responsible for preparing / reviewing month end account reconciliations
  • Running the preliminary and final month end loan statements
  • Tie out cash pool statements and post to SharePoint site
  • Releasing internal and external payments utilizing Kyriba
  • Balancing intercompany Otis accounts and working with worldwide entity counterparts when variances are noted
  • Preparation of annual government survey
  • Assist in10Q / 10K footnote preparation
  • Support the Financial Reporting department’s initiative of continuous process improvement including identification of opportunities and implementation of solutions
  • Special projects as requested.
