About The Position

As the Senior Assistant Executive Stewarding Manager, you will oversee the stewarding operations for Luxor's restaurants, ensuring all kitchens and equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Your role combines hands-on leadership, effective team management, and attention to detail to ensure the back-of-house operations run seamlessly. You'll manage a team responsible for deep cleaning kitchen areas, maintaining equipment, and supporting the culinary team's success. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in Stewarding, Dishwashing, Food & Beverage Operations, or related fields such as custodial or janitorial services.
  • Understanding of Catering & Banquet operations, including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen steward functions, materials, and equipment used in kitchen operations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish language is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a similar resort environment.
  • Experience managing employees in a unionized setting under a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of stewards, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of stewarding operations, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, waste management, and inventory control, to maintain a clean and orderly environment throughout the facility.
  • Maintain strict adherence to sanitation and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to meet operational requirements efficiently while controlling costs.
  • Work closely with culinary and food and beverage teams to coordinate stewarding activities with kitchen operations and event schedules, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency improvements within the stewarding department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, incident reports, and other relevant documentation, providing regular reports to senior management as required.
